Q: How to update your forename or surname

You may wish to change the name you have registered with us after getting married and/or legally changing your name. If you need to change the name registered to your account, please call us on 0345 607 6001 . We will also ask you to send one of the following pieces of evidence to confirm your change in name: A marriage certificate A change of name deed poll A decree absolute We may ask for additional documentation, such as a passport or driving licence . If you wish to change the spelling of your forename, you will need to send us a copy of your driving licence or passport. You can send your documents by post or attached to a secure message . If you choose to send one of the above documents by post, it must either be the original or a certified copy. The document will need to be certified by a regulated intermediary, such as a bank, a solicitor or a chartered accountant. We can accept uncertified copies if sent as an attachment to a secure message. If you'd prefer to send your document(s) to us in the post, you can send it to: Account Management Team, interactive investor, 2nd floor, One Embankment, Neville Street, Leeds, LS1 4DW

You can change or update your personal details easily using your online account.

For security reasons, you will need to have your current registered mobile phone to receive a verification code by text.

Select'Person' Icon > Personal Details & Preferences from the menu.
Click on the option you wish to update. You can update your: personal details, contact details, tax and reporting details, password, mobile number or email address.
Edit your details. Then click Save to receive your verification code by text.
Enter the code to save your changes.

If you do not have a registered mobile phone number, you will need to update your mobile phone number first.
