IN BRIEF: HelloFresh sets up German facility for Factor meal service

HelloFresh SE - Berlin-based meal kit company - Launches new production site in Verden an der Aller, Germany for its direct-to-consumer, ready-to-eat meal service, Factor. This service currently delivers to customers in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium. HelloFresh says the new facility, which is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year, will serve as a central production hub for Factor's meals across five European markets. Says the new Factor site has the capacity to create around 900 jobs, and forms an "important step" in its global expansion strategy for the service. "Bringing the Factor Europe production to Germany not only means the highest quality standards for us, it is also a clear commitment to innovation in Germany as a business location," says Kaylyn Tolzmann, managing director and chief operating officer of Factor Europe.
