Safran SA - Paris-based aerospace and defence corporation - Safran Landing Systems opens a new centre for engineering activities and support functions at its site in Gloucester. The site hosts Safran Landing Systems activities including landing gear design, manufacturing and assembly, as well as maintenance, repair & overhaul services. Major programmes supported by the site include the Airbus A320 and A350, the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Global Combat Air Program. "This building will be instrumental to the design and development of the next generation of landing systems. This investment is not only a great opportunity for our employees and a boost for the regional economy, but also a sign of our commitment to the long-term future of the aviation sector," says President Francois Bastin.
