Types of investment you can transfer

You can transfer investments from an international broker. 

To do so, please follow the steps outlined in how to transfers investments to us. 

If you are transferring in from an American or Canadian broker, you may be required to provide additional documentation – such as a DRS statement. 

A DRS statement is similar to a share certificate and provides evidence of ownership. If you need to send in a DRS statement, please send it to us via secure message. 

We support transfers from shares held in CHESS with Australian Brokers. 

However, we do not support transfers of securities held on a share register. For example, those held with Computershare Australia.

To transfer shares held electronically with one of the above registrars, you will need to contact your old provider.

Please request a ‘Form E’.

The form will include details of any charges your provider may levy for transferring away from their service. Please note that these charges are levied by your existing provider and not interactive investor.
